Leon to San Martin del Camino

16 Miles

We decided that it was the best thing for my leg to rest it, so, once again I saw Dale off on the day’s walk and, after check-out, hired a taxi to take me to our destination. I have to say, the albergue was brand new and very nice, with a pool and large back garden area! Rather than being shut out, I was able to check in and relax, with the leg elevated.

Long Day’s Walk

According to Dale, and the Brierley, it was a flat, dusty 16-mile walk just off the N120 highway, so the only thing I missed was further stress on my leg. He took very few pictures except for the San Marco Plaza on the way out of Leon.

Dale arrived only a couple of hours after I did. We rested the rest of the afternoon, and enjoyed dinner with a new friend from Australia. Early to bed for an early start to the following day.
