Amazing what rest and not having to wake up early can do for you! Our day began with a truly sumptuous breakfast buffet, with fresh fruit and juices, meats, eggs, breads, cereals, dried fruits, croissants, and sweet bakery treats! Don’t even get me started on the coffee!
Seeing Burgos
We decided on a trolley tour of the city since walking didn’t seem appropriate on a day of resting. It took us to the top of the Castille where we could see the entire city. Spectacular!
Afterward we met up with two couples and just hung out chatting and enjoying a relaxing early afternoon. Later, we toured the cathedral. Words fail.
Then, we grabbed dinner, and attended the pilgrim mass in the cathedral. It was so special to be worshipping in such a marvelous place and to receive the blessing. He never fails to speak.
Two comments – your knees look better than the statue’s, and, did you go to mass AFTER the churros and chocolate? You needed cleansing!
Thanks! His were definitely gnarly! And we actually had the churros after mass…
